The slope length of rainbow slides can be customized according to requirements. The length mainly depends on site terrain, height difference and safety design standards. For small farms and family parks, slides are usually 50–80 meters, which is the mainstream option for lightweight investment. Conventional scenic spot models are mostly designed at 80–150 meters, balancing riding experience and visitor capacity, and this is the most common specification in the market.

For large scenic projects built on natural mountain slopes, the slope length can reach 200–400 meters. With sufficient terrain conditions and professional structural & safety calculations, the maximum length can be 500 meters or longer. However, longer slope does not always mean better performance. The length must match the gradient. The recommended gradient ranges from 10° to 15°. Too steep slope will cause excessive sliding speed and safety risks, while overly gentle slope may lead to stuck sliders.

When designing the slope length, adequate buffer zone at the end must be reserved for smooth deceleration of riders. If the site has limited height difference, steel frame ramps can be constructed to set the total slide length flexibly without relying on natural hills.

Besides, slide length directly affects cost, conveyor selection and operation efficiency. Short slides feature fast turnover, suitable for small sites with heavy foot traffic. Long slides deliver stronger experience and better attraction effect, yet the cost of civil works, equipment and safety protection rises accordingly. On-site survey is required in the early project stage to confirm the slope length based on site conditions and safety regulations.
